With Zeeg, you've always been able to ask invitees to confirm their email before booking — but now that check is on by default for every newly created account.
What's new:
• On by default, and locked – Accounts created from now on require a confirmation code on every scheduling page, and can't switch it off.
• Nothing sends before confirmation – No booking is created, and no confirmation email, calendar invite, reminder, or workflow message goes out, until the code is entered.
• Guests field locked too – The guests field starts off on new accounts and stays off until the same threshold is reached.
• Unlocks on its own – Once an account shows enough signs of a real business, both settings unlock automatically, and support can override either way.
• Existing accounts untouched – Anything created before this release keeps its current settings, fully editable.
• Reschedules – Changing the invitee's email during a reschedule needs a new code; keeping the same address needs none.
Why this matters: Phishers have been signing up for free accounts and using booking emails to reach strangers. Confirming the address first means a brand-new account can only email people who asked to hear from it, which protects invitees and keeps delivery healthy for everyone sending through Zeeg.
Find it under scheduling page settings, in invitee questions and advanced settings.
