How Cronvall books 9 in 10 phone buyers into a sales callback in about 2 minutes with Zeeg's AI voice agent

Callers with a buying need now leave the call with a booked sales callback, up from 5 in 10 before Zeeg.
From the moment the AI voice agent picks up to a confirmed 15-minute callback with the right salesperson.
Picked up by the AI voice agent since March 2026, 99% of all calls that reached it.
Cronvall, a 30-person B2B online shop for construction and industrial products, uses Zeeg's appointment booking and AI voice agent for every sales call its team can't take live. 9 in 10 callers with a buying need now leave the call with a booked sales callback, about 2 minutes into the conversation. Before Zeeg, it was about 5 in 10.

“In our market, whoever answers first gets the order. A site manager who reaches voicemail doesn't wait for a callback. He calls the next supplier.”

When the phone rings, the order is on the line
Cronvall brings an e-commerce model proven in Finland to Germany. Construction companies, trades and industrial businesses buy site fencing, pipes, sheet metal, gratings and containers online, without an account and on invoice. Yet many orders still start the old way: a site manager calls the hotline at the top of the page. A typical project order, such as 150 m of site fencing or a storage container, is worth €2,000–3,000 net.
Calls cluster in the morning and around lunch, exactly when the sales team is already on the phone. After 18:00, about 8 in 10 calls used to reach voicemail. And a site manager who reaches voicemail doesn't wait for a callback.
Research backs this up. Companies that contact a lead within an hour are nearly 7 times as likely to qualify it as those that wait an hour longer (Harvard Business Review, 2011).
What Cronvall tried before
Until early 2026, the sales team covered the hotline on its own, with voicemail as the fallback. Cronvall looked at three alternatives: an external phone service, an extra hire just for the phones, and stand-alone AI voice providers such as Fonio and IONOS. The first two would have added fixed costs. The AI voice tools could answer calls, but they would have needed a separate booking tool and a separate calendar on top.
“We didn't want three systems running side by side and loosely glued together. We wanted one agentic system that understands the caller, knows our team's availability and books the appointment itself. Zeeg sits as a layer between the phone and our calendars and only books what fits our rules. That's what convinced us.”

The AI qualifies, the salesperson sells
Andre Niebuhr, Strategic Business Development & Sales Partner at Cronvall, tested the agent himself before go-live and tried to throw it off with small talk and odd questions. No matter what he tried, it stayed calm and got back to the order.
Cronvall went live within two weeks. The workspace and agent were set up on March 13, 2026, and real calls started in late March. The team still picks up first. When every salesperson is busy, the call goes to Zeeg's AI voice agent, with no queue and no voicemail.
The agent asks which products the caller needs, in what quantities and when the project starts, and recognises Cronvall's range from site fencing to containers. About 2 minutes into the call, it books a 15-minute callback. That qualification decides which team gets it: sales for buyers, supplier management for manufacturers who want to sell through Cronvall. Round robin then assigns a colleague in that team, so the salesperson calls back already knowing what the customer needs. “Our team starts every callback with the full request in front of them,” says Andre Niebuhr. “The first call is a sales conversation, not an intake.”
Cronvall uses the same booking pages on its website. Customers who hesitate at checkout can book a callback straight from the cart, so a question about delivery or quantities doesn't end in an abandoned order.
“We chose Zeeg because the assistant speaks German, understands our products, runs on EU servers and books straight into our team calendars.”

9 in 10 phone buyers now leave with a booked callback
In September 2026, 90% of callers with a buying need left the call with a booked callback, up from 56% in July after the agent was fine-tuned. Before Zeeg, only about 5 in 10 callers with a buying need got a sales conversation or a fixed callback time on the same day. That's an 80% increase. Since March, the agent has answered 469 calls, 99% of all calls that reached it, with an average call length of 55 seconds.
Callbacks got faster too. The average wait for a callback fell from about 13 hours in July to under 3 hours in September, a 79% drop, and half of all callbacks are scheduled within 50 minutes of the call. With about 18 qualified buyer callbacks a month, that's roughly €40,000–50,000 of order requests a month that no longer risk ending on voicemail. Cronvall covers the phones without an outside phone service or new headcount.
Now, Cronvall plans to bring the callback booking to more pages in its shop and to use Zeeg for its supplier onboarding as it grows in Germany.
Results measured: March 13 – October 13, 2026.
“Our salespeople now spend their time on calls that lead to an order. The rest is handled before they even pick up the phone.”
