Office Background Sound for AI Phone Agents

How to enable the office background sound toggle in your AI Phone Agent's Call settings.

Written by Fernando Figueiredo

The Office background sound toggle plays a quiet office ambience behind your AI phone agent's voice during calls. When enabled, callers hear subtle background noise that makes the agent sound more natural — as if calling from a real office environment. The setting is off by default and can be changed at any time.

How to enable Office background sound

  1. In your Zeeg dashboard, navigate to AI Agents and open the agent you want to configure.

  2. Click Call settings in the left sidebar.

  3. In the Call settings section, toggle Office background sound on.

The setting saves automatically and takes effect on the next call.

Frequently asked questions

Does the background sound affect call quality or speech recognition?

The office ambience plays quietly behind the agent's voice. It is designed not to interfere with speech recognition or call clarity. Callers typically perceive it as natural environmental noise rather than a technical artefact.

Is the background sound audible in call recordings?

Yes. The audio is mixed into the call stream, so any recording saved under Conversations will include the background sound as part of the audio. Transcripts are generated from the spoken words and are not affected by the background sound.

Can I turn the background sound off again?

Yes. Go to Call settings in your AI Phone Agent and toggle Office background sound off. The change takes effect on the next call.
