Using a Paid Scheduling Page with Your AI Voice Agent

Zeeg AI voice agent routes can target paid scheduling pages, but payment is not collected during the call. See how a host can collect separately.

Written by Fernando Figueiredo

You can point an AI Voice Agent route at a scheduling page that charges invitees. Because callers cannot complete a payment during a phone call, Zeeg confirms the booking without collecting payment — but a warning in the Routing tab reminds you to collect payment through a separate channel.

  • The AI Voice Agent is available on all Zeeg plans.

  • Accepting payment on scheduling pages requires a connected Stripe or PayPal integration, which is available on all Zeeg plans.

The warning you see in Routing

When you configure a route with the Book appointment action and select a scheduling page that has a price set, a yellow warning banner appears on the route card:

"Callers can't pay during a call, so you'll need to collect payment for this scheduling page another way."

This banner is informational — the route is valid and can be saved. It is there to remind you that callers who book through this route will not be charged, so you need to plan how to collect payment outside of the call.

How to configure a route to a paid scheduling page

  1. Open your AI Phone Agent and click the Routing tab.

  2. Click Add new route or open an existing route.

  3. Set the action to Book appointment.

  4. Click Select scheduling page and choose a page that has a price configured.

  5. The yellow warning banner appears below the scheduling page selector. Review it, then click Save to confirm the route.

Auto-generated AI agents exclude paid scheduling pages from their routes. If you want a paid page included, add the route manually after the agent is created.

What happens when a caller books

When a caller reaches a route that points to a paid scheduling page, the following happens:

  1. The AI agent collects the caller's name and email and books the appointment.

  2. The booking is confirmed — a calendar event is created for both the host and the caller, and a confirmation email is sent.

  3. No payment is charged. Zeeg cannot present a payment form or collect card details during a phone call.

The booking appears in your calendar and in Zeeg exactly like any other confirmed booking. The only difference is that payment has not been collected.

How to collect payment after the call

Because payment cannot be taken during the call, you need to collect it through a separate channel. Common approaches:

  • Send a payment link by email — use your Stripe or PayPal dashboard to generate a payment link and send it to the caller's email address after the booking is confirmed.

  • Automate a follow-up with a Zeeg workflow — create a workflow that triggers on booking confirmed and sends a follow-up email containing your payment link. This way, every caller on this route receives the link automatically without any manual action on your part.

  • Issue an invoice — send an invoice through your billing tool and collect payment before the appointment takes place.

  • Collect at the meeting — for in-person or phone-based services, you can take payment at the start of the session.

Frequently asked questions

Will the caller be asked to pay during the AI agent call?

No. The AI agent cannot display a payment form or collect card details. If the scheduling page requires payment, the booking is still confirmed but no payment is charged on the call.

Should I use a paid scheduling page with my AI Voice Agent?

It depends on your workflow. If your process allows following up with a payment link or invoice after the booking, routing calls to a paid page works well. If guaranteed pre-payment is essential — for example, for a deposit-required service — consider creating a separate, unpaid scheduling page for voice bookings and keeping your paid page for online bookings only.

Why is the booking confirmed even though the caller didn't pay?

Zeeg confirms the booking to ensure callers always receive a slot. Blocking the booking because no payment could be processed on the call would lose the appointment entirely — which is rarely the outcome you want. The warning in the Routing tab exists so you can plan your payment collection upfront.

Can I use any scheduling page type with this flow?

Yes. One-on-one, group, round-robin, collective, and flexi scheduling pages can all be routed to from an AI Voice Agent, including when they have a price set. The booking behavior is the same regardless of page type — no payment is collected on the call.
