Your AI agent's knowledge base now supports three ways to add content: a URL, plain text, and an uploaded document. Supported file formats are EPUB, PDF, DOCX, TXT, HTML, and MD, with a maximum size of 10 MB per file. You can also rename any knowledge base entry at any time without changing the content your agent reads.
How to upload a file to the knowledge base
Open your AI agent and navigate to the Knowledge base section.
Click the add button and select Upload a file from the menu.
In the dialog that opens, drag your file onto the upload area, or click it to open the file picker.
After selecting a file, its name pre-fills the Name field. Edit the name to give it a clearer label if needed.
Confirm to start the upload. A progress bar appears while the file is sent. Once the upload finishes, the new entry appears in the knowledge base list with a File badge.
How to rename a knowledge base entry
In the Knowledge base list, open the three-dot menu on the entry you want to rename.
Select Rename.
Enter the new name and confirm. The name is only a label in Zeeg — your agent keeps exactly the same content.
How to view knowledge base details
Open the three-dot menu on any entry and select View content. The Knowledge base details panel shows:
The entry name and source type badge (URL, Text, or File)
Creation date
Connected agents — how many of your agents currently use this entry
The source content for URL and text entries (file entries show only the metadata, not the stored path)
Frequently asked questions
Which file formats are supported?
EPUB, PDF, DOCX, TXT, HTML, and MD. Each file must be 10 MB or smaller. Unsupported formats and oversized files are rejected before the upload starts, with an error message indicating the problem.
Can I update or replace an uploaded file?
Not in place. Remove the existing entry from your agent and add a new one with the updated file.
Does renaming affect how my agent uses the knowledge base?
No. The name is only the label you see in Zeeg. Your agent reads the same underlying content regardless of what the entry is called.
Can I share a knowledge base entry across multiple agents?
Yes. Attach it to each agent that needs it. The Connected agents count in the details panel shows how many agents currently use the entry. A rename is reflected across all connected agents.
What is the difference between the three source types?
URL — Zeeg fetches and indexes the content at the web address you provide. Text — you type or paste the content directly. File — you upload a local document; the file is stored and its contents are indexed. Choose the type that matches where your information lives.
