Embedding your Zeeg scheduling page on your website
To embed your Zeeg scheduling page follow the steps below:
From your Dashboard, find the scheduling page you want to embed and click on "Share"
From the opened box, choose Add to website.
Select Inline Embed
You can select the colours of your embeded page and choose to hide some elements
Click Copy code and then insert the code into your website.
To hide your profile picture, name, event duration, location, and description when embedding your scheduling page, select Hide details.
Customers who have a paid subscription can utilize additional color customization options such as background color, text color, and button and link color.
When you are satisfied with the modifications, simply copy the code to incorporate it into your webpage.
URL Redirect when embedding Zeeg in your website
When an invitee is scheduling a meeting with you on your website through the Zeeg embed, if you have enabled URL redirection for the confirmation page, the redirection by default happens inside the iFrame section and not the parent page.
If you want to redirect the parent page, add data-redirect-parent="true" to your embed script like the below:
<!-- Zeeg inline embed begins --><div class="zeeg-inline-widget" id="zeeg-embed-demo-hr-30min" style="min-width: 320px; height: 780px"></div><script type="text/javascript" src="https://assets.zeeg.me/embed.min.js" data-user="demo" data-event-type="hr-30min" data-redirect-parent="true" async></script><!-- Zeeg inline embed ends -->
React to bookings on your page
Your Zeeg embed tells the page it sits on when an invitee books, reschedules or cancels. You can listen for these messages to fire your own analytics events, show a thank-you message or update your site, without any extra setup in Zeeg.
These messages are meant for developers or whoever manages your website's code. They reach any page that embeds your booking page, so never treat them as a secret.
The embedded booking page sends a standard browser message to the page that contains it. Each message has an event name and, for the events below, a payload with details about the booking.
Event | When it is sent |
| An invitee finishes booking a new meeting (for paid events, after the payment is completed). |
| An invitee finishes rescheduling a meeting. It is sent instead of |
| An invitee cancels a meeting from the cancellation page shown in the embed. |
What the payload contains
zeeg.booking_confirmed and zeeg.booking_rescheduled:
inviteeUuid(the ID of the booking),hostName, hostNames(all hosts),status, title, startAt,endAt,timeZoneandpayment(gateway, priceandcurrency, ornullfor free events).zeeg.booking_rescheduled also includes
previousInviteeUuid, the ID of the booking that the new one replaces.zeeg.booking_cancelled: only
inviteeUuid, the ID of the cancelled booking.
The invitee's name, email address, phone number and answers to booking questions are not included.
Example
<script> window.addEventListener('message', function (e) { /* Only trust messages from the Zeeg booking page */ if (e.origin !== 'https://zeeg.me') return; if (!e.data || typeof e.data.event !== 'string') return; if (e.data.event === 'zeeg.booking_confirmed') { console.log('New booking', e.data.payload.inviteeUuid, e.data.payload.startAt); } if (e.data.event === 'zeeg.booking_rescheduled') { console.log('Replaced', e.data.payload.previousInviteeUuid, 'with', e.data.payload.inviteeUuid); } if (e.data.event === 'zeeg.booking_cancelled') { console.log('Cancelled', e.data.payload.inviteeUuid); } }); </script>Frequently asked questions
Are these messages sent when I open the booking page on its own, not embedded?
No. The messages are only sent when your booking page is shown inside an embed (an iframe) on another page.
Will the messages fire again if someone reloads or revisits the confirmation or cancellation page?
No. Zeeg sends zeeg.booking_confirmed and zeeg.booking_rescheduled once, for the booking that was just made in that browser tab. Opening an existing booking later stays silent. zeeg.booking_cancelled is sent when the invitee cancels, not when the page loads, so revisiting an already cancelled booking does not send it again.
Is a message sent when I reschedule or cancel a meeting as the host?
Not for reschedules. zeeg.booking_rescheduled is sent only when the invitee reschedules in the embed, because hosts reschedule from the dashboard. Hosts do not cancel through the embedded page either, so no zeeg.booking_cancelled message is sent for host cancellations.
What happens if the payment is not completed?
For paid events, the booking messages are sent after the invitee returns from the payment page with a settled booking. If the payment never completes, no booking message is sent.
Is it safe to store or log inviteeUuid?
Treat inviteeUuid like a private link. Anyone who has it can view the booking details and cancel the booking without logging in. Do not put it in public pages, URLs shared with third parties or analytics tools that you do not control. Always check e.origin in your listener so that only messages from the Zeeg booking page are used.
Do I need to change my embed code?
No. The messages are sent by your existing Zeeg embed. You only need to add a listener to your page.
