When your plan changes and no longer includes everything you set up, Zeeg doesn't delete it right away. It pauses what your plan lacks and keeps it for 30 days. If you upgrade within that time, your paused items come back the way you left them. This article explains what gets paused, where you can see it, and how to get it back.
After 30 days, anything still paused is removed for good. Zeeg emails the workspace owner 7 days before that happens.
What gets paused
Zeeg compares what you have with what your new plan includes. Anything over the limit, or that the plan doesn't include, is paused:
Scheduling pages — pages over your plan's limit of active scheduling pages are switched off (for example, the free Starter plan allows 2). Zeeg keeps the pages you created first and pauses the rest. If your plan no longer includes payments, pages with a price are switched off and their payment settings are paused too. See Scheduling Page Types for which page types each plan includes.
Calendar accounts — accounts beyond your plan's calendar connections are paused. Zeeg keeps the accounts you rely on most: the one your bookings are written to first, then accounts your scheduling pages write to, then accounts checked for conflicts. A paused calendar is not checked for conflicts and no bookings are written to it.
API tokens — if your plan no longer includes API access, your tokens are paused and the API refuses requests made with them. If your plan only includes the AI Agents scopes, tokens with other scopes are paused.
Plan-only settings and workflows — features your previous plan included, such as redirects after booking, custom notifications, forwarded copies of notifications, payments on scheduling pages, your own branding, or workflows, are switched off or removed from the page and kept for the same 30 days.
Where you can see what is paused
Scheduling pages. In Scheduling Pages, a paused page shows the note Paused by your plan with the date until which an upgrade turns it back on, and an Upgrade button.
Calendar accounts. In Calendar & Availability, a paused account is marked Paused, has an Upgrade button, and shows the date it is deleted unless you upgrade. Its conflict-check switch is turned off and can't be changed while it is paused. Paused accounts are also left out of the list of calendars you can choose to write new bookings to.
API tokens. In your API token list, a paused token has a Paused badge, a note with the deletion date and an Upgrade button. Paused tokens don't count toward the limit of 5 active tokens, so you can still create a token that your plan allows with Create API token.
What invitees and hosts see on a paused scheduling page
Invitees can't book a paused page. They see the same "page not found" answer as for any switched-off page, and nothing about your plan is shown to them.
You and the members of your workspace see the heading Bookings are paused when you open the page, with a note that your plan no longer includes the page, the date before which an upgrade turns it back on, and an Upgrade button.
How to get your paused items back
1. Click the Upgrade button next to any paused item, or open your billing settings.
2. Choose a plan that includes the feature you need and complete the upgrade.
3. Zeeg checks your plan again and switches your paused items back on.
Your paused items return as you left them. If you changed something while it was paused, for example you set a new price on a scheduling page, your change is kept and not overwritten. If your new plan has room for only some of your items, Zeeg restores them in the order you created them until the limit is reached.
The warning email before removal
7 days before the 30 days end, the workspace owner gets an email with the subject On [date], we'll remove what your plan change paused. It lists what will be removed, grouped as calendar accounts that will be disconnected, API tokens that will be deleted, scheduling pages and workflows that will stay switched off, and settings that will be removed. It names your own items, and only counts items that belong to other workspace members.
Click Upgrade your plan in the email to keep everything. If you no longer need any of it, you don't have to do anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is anything deleted the moment my plan changes?
No. Zeeg pauses what your plan doesn't include and keeps it for 30 days. Only after that are paused calendar accounts disconnected and paused API tokens deleted. Paused scheduling pages and workflows stay switched off.
Do I have to upgrade to keep using Zeeg?
No. Everything your new plan includes keeps working. The 30 days only apply to what the new plan lacks, and you can ignore the notices if you no longer need those items.
Why can't I switch a paused scheduling page back on myself?
A paused page was switched off by your plan. It comes back when your plan allows it again. To use a different page instead, switch one of your active pages off to free a slot, or upgrade.
Where do my bookings go while a calendar is paused?
Zeeg writes new bookings to your default write calendar. A scheduling page that was set to its own calendar on a paused account books into that default calendar until the account is active again.
Why is my API token paused when my plan still includes API access?
If your plan covers API access only through AI Agents, tokens may only hold the AI Agents scopes. A token with other scopes stays paused. Create a new token with just those scopes, or upgrade your plan.
What if my plan check fails or my payment is late on day 30?
Zeeg checks your plan again before it removes anything, so an upgraded customer doesn't lose paused items. If that check can't run, nothing is removed that day and Zeeg tries again.
